
Candida Albicans
Yeast infection is caused by Candida, a genus of yeasts. These are present commonly in everybody and suppressed by the natural human immunity. Yeast infections are of different types ranging from less harmful oral thrush and vaginal inflammation to life-threatening infection and are common all over the world. Much of these infections are easily treatable with minimal side effects. As said, though these are present in everyone, only they cause problems in the people who are immune deficients or loss of immunity suddenly caused by another disease.

What causes yeast infections?
These yeasts will be living with us, but in a suppressed state. When our immunity decreases, these fungi will erupt into infections. Females are noted to be infected more than males especially in the form of vaginitis. Below are the major issues, which can lead to yeast infections:
- A weak immune system
- Low immunity caused by other major illnesses.
- Sexual relationship with infected person
- Use of antibacterial antibiotics.
- Diabetes
